Backstage Marketing Design

Backstage was founded in 1960 as a newspaper where actors could find auditions. It has since grown into a career platform for performers across the globe to find work in addition to its editorial magazine. I am the Marketing Designer at Backstage. In addition to design, I often create illustrations and take portraits for the editorial team.

 

BILLBOARD DESIGN

I designed a Times Square billboard for Backstage. In order to have original content, I organized and shot a “behind-the-scenes” photoshoot. The direction was to draw more attention to Backstage as a platform for brands to find talent and performers to get paying gigs.

 

SOCIAL ADS

A series of app install prospecting ads for paid social featuring different performers in their element.

Above are examples of prospecting ads running on our site for users who have not yet subscribed. I created two sets to test against one another, one with an illustration and one with lifestyle imagery.
